The charming small town of Paro lies on the bank of the Pa chhu(Paro river).the most famous places visited in Paro are Takesang/Tiger nest, Paro Ringpong Dzong( fort of Paro). Kitchu Lhakhang(temple).National museum,Nyamai Zam( Bridge), Drukgyel Dzong(victory fort)
Day 1: Paro to Jele Dzong
Distance: 8 km
Elevation: 2,350 m to 3,485 m
Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
Highlights:
Start your trek from the Ta Dzong (National Museum) in Paro.
Gradual ascent through pine forests and small villages.
Visit Jele Dzong, a small fortress with a temple. Enjoy views of the Paro Valley and Mount Jomolhari.
Overnight: Camp near Jele Dzong.
Day 2: Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha
Distance: 10 km
Elevation: 3,485 m to 3,770 m
Trekking Time: 3-4 hours
Highlights:
Trek through dense rhododendron forests, spotting yaks grazing along the way.
Scenic views of the Himalayas.
Reach the yak herder’s campsite at Jangchulakha.
Overnight: Camp at Jangchulakha.
Day 3: Jangchulakha to Jimilangtsho
Distance: 11 km
Elevation: 3,770 m to 3,870 m
Trekking Time: 4-5 hours Highlights:
Pass through ridges with panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains.
Descend towards the Jimilangtsho Lake, a beautiful alpine lake known for its giant trout.
Enjoy the tranquility of the lake surrounded by majestic peaks.
Overnight: Camp near Jimilangtsho Lake.
Day 4: Jimilangtsho to Phajoding, then descend to Thimphu
Distance: 15 km
Elevation: 3,870 m to 3,650 m, then descend to 2,350 m
Trekking Time: 6-7 hours
Highlights:
Trek through dwarf rhododendron trees and cross several passes.
Visit the Simkotra Tsho Lake, another serene alpine lake.
Gradual ascent to Phume La Pass, the highest point of the trek at 4,210 m, followed by a descent to Phajoding Monastery.
Continue descending towards Thimphu, where the trek ends.
Overnight: Hotel in Thimphu.
Optional Day 5: Rest Day in Thimphu
Activities:
Explore the capital city of Thimphu, visit Tashichho Dzong, the Buddha Dordenma statue, and the National Memorial Chorten.
Shop for souvenirs or relax in a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath.
Overnight: Hotel in Thimphu.
